Engine and Gearbox Matters

The 3.2 litre V6 Busso Engine and gearbox for the car had been removed from the donor Alfa Romeo 156 GT and sent to a specialist engine builder for a full strip-down and re-build.

The gearbox rebuild included refurbishing and rebuilding the Q2 diff and correctly setting it up. The rebuilt engine was fitted with steel conrods and balanced.  The cam covers and sump were powder coated.

The engine was always intended to run on individual throttle bodies. This was originally intended to be Jenvey ITBs however during the build process of the car ListerBell developed their own  system based on the BMW M3 throttle bodies and the decision was taken to go down this route instead.
